Evan Chau's Eagle Project

Donation protected

Hi everyone! My name is Evan Chau, and I am a senior at Mira Mesa HS and play French Horn in the band. I am also a scout in BSA Troop 1212 and working towards Eagle Scout. For my project, I will be creating flip books and a container to house them for the band.

These flip books will hold sheet music in a way that's easier to read while performing in the stands and other events. Right now, the band does not use anything to hold and protect their music whilst playing. This leads to music getting worn and unreadable or becoming lost entirely. This project aims to provide the current and future band members a reliable, long-lasting way to keep their music safe and organized, so they can perform and keep school spirit alive at events. The container for the music will be 10 in. x 27 in. x 24 in. or close to those dimensions.

Your donations will go toward the supplies needed (5.5" x 8.5" sheet protectors, binder rings, plywood, hinges, screws, wood glue) as well as any costs associated with assembling flip books and the container. Any support, no matter the amount, will make a huge difference in helping me reach my goal and complete this project that will directly benefit hundreds of student musicians for the years to come.

Thank you so much for supporting me, my journey through Scouting, and the Mira Mesa Sapphire Sound!
