Support a Family's Recovery from Devastating Fire

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my family, who recently experienced a devastating house fire that has completely displaced them. The fire occurred unexpectedly and left our home uninhabitable, destroying nearly all of our belongings. Due to extensive fire, smoke, and water damage, we lost essential items such as clothing, shoes, and electronics—including devices our family members rely on for school.

For a family of seven, Red Cross generously provided $1,000 in emergency assistance, it unfortunately falls short of what is needed to meet even our most basic immediate needs. Currently, all seven of them are temporarily sheltering in a condo.

Adding to the heartbreak, one of my mother’s cats was caught in the fire and is now suffering from smoke inhalation. Veterinary care is urgently needed, but we currently do not have the resources to cover the medical costs.
