E-Town: BLM Street Art for Social Justice
Tax deductible
In light of recent events, it is imperative to take a stand against racial injustices.
The Evanston boys basketball team is making a statement on behalf of our community. This statement is taking shape in the form of street art.
On Friday, July 3rd, the team, as well as alumnae will be painting "Black Lives Matter" on Dodge Ave between Church St. and Lake St. We hope this will serve as a reminder of the value that black lives have in our community and around the world. It is disappointing that in a town as diverse as ours, black and brown people experience racism daily.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
All donations to Hoop Avenues Elite, for this GoFundMe, will go directly to the Evanston Boys' Basketball program who has coordinated and sponsored this event. To help us continue to be a voice for the voiceless and make way for constructive change.
