Hi, my name is Ethan Zappelli.
I'm a local 17 year old and Year 12 Student at Five Islands Secondary College. I am deeply passionate about pursuing politics as a university study, as well as a career, and deeply care about having a positive impact on the Wollongong community.
I've done a variety of thing in the community such as:
- Speaking at the 2024 Port Kembla Dawn Service
- Being 1 of 12 members of Wollongong City Council and The Foundation for Young Australian's Youth Forum (Click Here For My Profile)
- Speaking at the University of Wollongong's Summer Masterclass Celebration
- And running and assisting a variety of events and initiatives through my school via the SRC.
And I've recently been nominated as the Youth Parliament's member for the Wollongong electorate and the economic sustainability committee.
However, due to issues with my home life, I am independent and live in assisted-care with Southern Youth & Family Services which makes Youth Parliament's fee of $1,400, a fee which is very difficult to pay on my own.
