The Etanga Development Foundation was born from a promise—a promise to stand beside the OvaHimba community of Etanga, Namibia, as they build a future rooted in dignity, tradition, and opportunity.

Founded at the request of local leaders and guided by cultural insiders, this grassroots nonprofit works hand-in-hand with the community to address urgent challenges:

Lack of access to education

Chronic food insecurity

Unused traditional skills with untapped global value

A neglected community building with massive potential

• Deliver food every two weeks to households with children and elders

• Train artisans in year-round craft apprenticeships

• Renovate a local center to serve as an education hub, youth space, and workshop
