This is one of the families in our very own community. Mrs. Dupree is an amazing teacher right here in Cherokee County. The family is actively involved in the community with VBS, church camps, and supporting youth in the area. Tragically, Friday, August 11th, 2023 their home caught fire, and suffered tremendous damage, rendering their home unlivable. They have lost everything, and basically only have the clothes on their backs. They are still in shock and trying to figure out where they are going to go, and are taking it one day at a time. They are in need of replacing all essentials, basic furniture needs, gas money, and even replenishing school supplies. Please help support our neighbors as they have to rebuild their lives from scratch.
