Hey Y'all,

My family and I are stepping into kinship/adoption care for our 9-year-old niece, due to very unfortunate circumstances. She will be coming to live with us here in Texas in just two weeks. She is traveling all the way from Colorado to join our family, and we want to make sure she feels safe, loved, and supported from the very beginning.

The challenge is that she is coming to us with almost nothing. She’ll need all the basics—clothes, shoes, hygiene items, and other essentials to help her settle into her new life. While we are ready to open our hearts and home to her, we simply just need a bit of help getting basic necessities for her.

We’re reaching out for support from our community, family, and friends to help us give her a strong start. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward making sure she has what she needs not just for the first few days, but for the road ahead.

We know this transition won’t be easy for her, but with your kindness and generosity, we can make her feel welcomed, cared for, and surrounded by love.
