Ruben and Suzane, along with their daughters Zoë and Aurora and a baby boy on the way, have spent the past four years moving between Brazil and Norway, following a calling to serve in ministry. Their journey has been marked by faith, resilience, and a deep commitment to serving others. After a year of uncertainty and waiting on residency visas in Norway, Ruben was ultimately denied the opportunity to pursue his master’s degree and serve as a pastor there, despite earning scholarships and meeting all requirements. This unexpected turn forced the family to return to Brazil, where they are now starting over in Suzane’s hometown.

They have found a house that perfectly fits their needs, but it is completely empty—no appliances, furniture, or even basic comforts. With only three mattresses on the floor, Ruben and Suzane are working hard to create a safe and welcoming home for their children before the arrival of their new baby, Adam, in just one month. Suzane will be caring for their daughters and newborn while Ruben works full time to provide for the family, without the benefit of paternity leave. The urgency to furnish their home is real, as a functional space will be crucial for Suzane and the kids during this transition.
