Hello kind people, we are the Foryd Community Centre, a stand alone charity based in Rhyl, North Wales, and for over 13 years we have been striving to aid the local community of Denbighshire and the surrounding areas by providing free advice and guidance in all matters ranging from benefit issues and easy access computer facilities, to a friendly ear concerning personal issues.

We also pride ourselves in offering cheap, disabled friendly transport for hospital appointments or shopping trips, a food bank for families or individuals in need, and a community café offering roast dinners and full breakfasts for £1.50.

Last year alone we successfully helped over 500 people with benefit related issues and provided just short of 24,000 individual meals from the food bank.

We rely heavily on the generosity of the community with donations such as unwanted food and household items, small cash donations when available, and variable funding opportunities to enable us to keep our availability open to all who need us.

Over the years the cost of maintaining our services, sourcing food for the food bank, and the upkeep of the building has risen dramatically. We are experiencing leaky roofing throughout, worn and torn carpeting, a diminishing food bank supply, and a rise in the cost of operating the necessary gas and electric.

We are passionate about being able to provide the highest quality services to any and all members of the community with the upmost humility and to the best of our ability, hopefully for years to come, and would be grateful beyond words to have the opportunity and the finances to repair and maintain our well loved and much wanted organisation.
