Essential Items for Multi-Generational Family

Beloved Community,
On Thursday, March 14th, our beloved home experienced a devastating fire. While our apartment is still intact (with severe damage), some neighbors lost everything. This historic Harlem rent-stabilized building housed many low-income immigrant families who have lived there for generations. One family in particular lost their entire apartment and all of their possessions. We are raising funds for a family who has lived in the building for over 30 years.
A few words from the family:
"We have lived in that apartment all our lives.--it's my parents, my sister and me. We are well-known in the neighborhood, and if you ask about us, you'll hear nothing but good things. We're quiet and don't bother anyone. Originally, there were five of us; my grandma lived in the same apartment for over 10 years, but she passed away last year and this will be our second year without her. My parents are from Mali, and my sister and I were born here. We have known the neighborhood all our lives, built countless memories here, and know a lot of the community."
We are aiming to raise $10,000 dollars for the family to support them with food, shelter, clothes, and any other living expenses while they struggle through this difficult time. Donations of any amount are welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
