Esperanza House - Sober Home Addressing Fentanyl

Hello -

My name is Maria Alfaro I’m helping put together a new sober home in Kingsland, Texas. The first of two homes will initially house an average of 10 men who have either just completed rehab and/or completed a recovery program and need housing while recreating their lives and gaining independence. Our second home, hopefully coming in early 2023, will
address the same needs for women.

Currently, we’re waiting on our 501c3
status to be confirmed by the State of Texas. While doing so, I have permission from our board to begin raising money for the following needs:

1) We have to meet a property tax of $5437 in the coming months.

2) We have a 3 bedroom 3 bath house that needs to be fully furnished so we can meet the standards required by rehabs and/or law enforcement and judicial entities to send their clients and cases to our facility.

3) Esperanza House is also needing to acquire insurance - both home and auto (we’ve had a large van donated) and additional securities and certifications to be a sober home entity that meets the standards of a trustworthy and fully operational facility in Texas.

At the end of the day, my sincere hope is that Esperanza House will thrive in the years to come and will always be here to serve those in need until that day, that might just possibly come, that addiction is no longer a destructive scourge in need of eradication.

Warm regards,

Maria Alfaro

Though not completely operational, our website is going up at https://esperanzahouses.com/
