Escuela Tambores de Lamba

My name is Emilio, I am a proud Colombian, currently in 11th grade. I am currently working with Escuela Tambores de Lamba (School of Drums) in Malagana, Colombia. In the heart of Malagana, there exists a community of resilient and hopeful children facing unimaginable challenges. These children are born into a cycle of poverty, where access to basic necessities like education, healthcare, and proper nutrition is a distant dream.

Escuela de Tambores is using traditional music made with African bongos and drums to give these kids a chance to thrive and reach their full potential. Tradition is important in Malagana, and we can help these children dive deep into rhythms of their past, to use music as a learning instrument to connect souls together. Through the use of drums, Escuela de Tambores has created a sacred place where children come together, connect with their roots, while staying away from drug abuse and violence. The donations given will go to building a school where they can learn. Together, we can create a compelling narrative of hope and opportunity for the children of Malagana.
