On the morning of Thursday, July 24, a local Oceanside family was suddenly separated by immigration agents. This father & his brother were on their way to work when they were pulled over by unmarked vehicles on the side of the freeway 78. Intimidation tactics were used to force them out of the vehicle. Without clearly identifying themselves, the agents detained both and took them away. This father was able to call his wife before he was detained, to let her know that his car needed to be picked up ASAP or it could get towed. No further information was given to the wife about where her husband & his brother were being taken. The same morning another detainment occurred outside an apartment complex on Waring Rd. Per a witness, someone who was also on their way to work was loading tools in the back of the work truck when unidentified individuals approached him and detained him. The third individual who was also detained and taken happened to be a third sibling of the two who were detained on the freeway. This act not only affects a hard working father and his brothers, but also profoundly affects the entire family since he was the one who financially supported his family. The wife is a student who takes care of their 3 children ages 6, 8, and 9 years old. Now this wife faces a huge financial burden since she does not work. 3 children are now facing the sudden absence of their father and are worried and afraid that their father may not come home again. This wife now must support her family emotionally and financially, needs the support of the community.

En la mañana del jueves 24 de julio, una familia de Oceanside fue separada repentinamente por agentes de inmigración. Este padre y su hermano se dirigían al trabajo cuando fueron detenidos por vehículos sin identificación a un costado de la autopista 78. Utilizaron tácticas de intimidación para obligarlos a bajar del vehículo. Sin identificarse claramente, los agentes los detuvieron y se los llevaron. Este padre logró llamar a su esposa antes de ser detenido para avisarle que debía recoger su auto lo mas antes posible o podrían remolcarlo. No se le dio más información a la esposa sobre el lugar al donde se llevarian a su esposo y su hermano. Esa misma mañana, se llevo acabo otra detención frente a un complejo de apartamentos en Waring Rd. Según un testigo, alguien que también se dirigía al trabajo estaba cargando herramientas en la parte trasera de la camioneta de trabajo cuando agentes sin identificacion se le acercaron y lo detuvieron. El tercer individuo también detenido, resultó ser un tercer hermano de los dos detenidos en la autopista. Este acto no solo afecta a un padre trabajador y a sus hermanos, sino también a toda la familia, ya que él era quien sustentaba económicamente a la familia. La esposa es estudiante y cuida de sus tres hijos de 6, 8 y 9 años. Ahora, esta esposa enfrenta una enorme carga financiera al no trabajar. Sus tres hijos se enfrentan a la repentina ausencia de su padre y están preocupados y temerosos de que no regrese a casa. Esta esposa ahora debe sustentar a su familia emocional y económicamente, y necesita el apoyo de la comunidad.
