We’re Jonathan and Melissa.

Our story began in 2012 when we met for the very first time at a Starbucks. After dating for seven years, we got engaged in 2019 , got married in 2020 and we’ve cherished every moment together ever since.

Both of us were born and raised in Southern California, but shortly after getting married, we packed up our lives and made the move to Texas in 2020.

In 2021, after spending our first year settling into our new home and establishing ourselves as Texans, we decided it was time to start growing our family.

At first, we thought it would happen easily, but after a year of trying and only seeing negative pregnancy tests, we realized something might be wrong. When Melissa began experiencing health issues, we turned to fertility treatments for answers.

Over the next three years, we faced a long and emotional journey, enduring constant health challenges, fertility procedures, treatments, and surgeries only to be given the devastating news that we would not be able to conceive naturally.

We were heartbroken, lost, and overwhelmed with grief. We never imagined we would find ourselves here, but even in our pain, we knew adoption was a beautiful option to build the family we’ve always dreamed of.

We are ready to open our hearts and home to a child who will be deeply loved, cherished, and supported every day. We believe every child deserves a family where they feel safe, encouraged, and valued.

I, Melissa, know in my heart that Jonathan will be an incredible father. He is kind, patient, silly and strong, with a gentle way of making everyone around him feel safe and valued. Children are naturally drawn to his gentle spirit and playful heart. I know he will be the kind of father who teaches by example, supports dreams, wipes away tears, and celebrates every joy. A child in his life will always know they are deeply loved and never alone.

I, Jonathan, can truly say that Melissa is an amazing human being with the biggest heart I’ve ever known. Melissa is strong-minded, fun, gentle, creative and always going above and beyond for people. I know Melissa will be an amazing mom because she puts her needs second and always makes sure everyone has what they need before herself. She’s selfless and her passion for children and helping them grow is inspiring. I’m so excited to see her as a mother and to watch the beautiful bond she will build with our future child.

Together, we can’t wait to share everything we have…our love, our home, and our hearts with a child who will be treasured every single day.

Adopting a child comes with its own set of challenges, including a significant financial commitment. Adoption expenses can add up to around $50,000 towards the adoption agency, home study, legal fees and more. 

This journey, while filled with love and excitement, also feels overwhelming at times. Asking for help is difficult for us, but we humbly reach out to you for your prayers and financial support to help make our dream of becoming parents a reality.
