My dear friends Erin Cessna and Steve Wilson had a beautiful baby girl, Cora on April 6th. Shortly after they found she had a bowel obstruction and had to be taken to the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent Indianapolis. After the surgery they discovered that Cora had cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a hereditary disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. This is something that they will need to carefully monitor and she will need treatments for the rest of her life.
Currently, St. Vincent House has offered them a place to stay four days of the week and the rest of the time has been spent between hotels. They have no idea how long they may need to be there as she is having trouble having bowel movements and may require another surgery.
To have such a wonderful joy brought into their lives and to be clouded with this hardship has been a roller coaster of emotions for them. Any help that can be offered to ease their burden would be greatly appreciated.
