Erin and Harper’s New Beginning
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Erin’s aunt, Phyll. I’m creating this Go Fund Me for my niece, Erin, and her daughter Harper. Erin, Adam, and Harper have always been a precious family, close to our hearts. Erin is from Cumberland, MD. but moved to the Charleston, SC area 19 years ago. She and Adam met in 2011 and have been loving partners since then. Almost 9 years ago, they were blessed with Harper Rose, an adorable, sweet, gracious little girl. From that moment forward, she was the apple of their eye. Adam had an incredible work ethic that kept him at work for countless hours as a key team member at Orlando’s Pizza locations on Daniel Island and in Mount Pleasant. But when he was home, it was not unusual to find him giving Harper a private guitar concert, showing off his less than stellar gymnastics skills to make her laugh or his dance moves (which weren’t much better.) He loved her sense of humor and his biggest smiles came from watching her dance, cartwheel, and show off her academic skills. Harper always listened for his car when she knew he was getting off work, ready for the fun to begin. She wrote him cards, told him jokes and challenged him to dance contests. She cherished her time with her dad. Erin was often watching with gratitude at the silliness and the joy they shared.

On Thursday March 14th, Adam passed away very unexpectedly. This tragedy has left so many family members, co-workers and friends broken hearted. But the impact on Erin and Harper is tragic and far reaching. Erin lost the love of her life for over 13 years, and her best friend. Harper lost her much loved Dad, provider and partner in silliness. There will not be a day that passes that Adam will not be thought of and missed. At this time, when so many decisions have to be made and life altering changes are occurring at a rapid pace, they are overwhelmed. Unfortunately, like many young people, Adam had no life insurance.

Adam was hard working, reliable, funny and caring. His face would light up with a huge smile that would melt your heart. We will miss him beyond words. He was a wonderful addition to our family, and we are so blessed to have known him. His final act was to donate his organs to those in need. May his life carry on through those recipients and God’s Holy Spirit bless us with his presence.
Where the money will go:
Many of you, our friends and family, have been asking "What we can do?" "How can we help?" Here are the things that that we are requesting for Erin and Harper going forward.
Prayers, we ask that you pray for God to wrap them in his loving arms, to comfort them and keep them safe, to fill them with his peace that is beyond our comprehension, to be faithful in his promise to heal the broken hearted and to light the way forward so that each decision will keep them on his path.
Share stories and memories of Adam with his family, whether it be in person or with a call, a text or a card. Harper has said that she’s afraid that she will forget things about her dad. Tell her stories, say his name in her presence. Laugh about the things you remember about him. Help to keep her Dad an active thought in her mind and heart. You may worry it will upset his family to hear his name but trust me they don’t want him to be forgotten, say his name. It’s okay to tell the same story over again, it will bring a smile and touch their hearts each time.
Assist/Donate- if you feel led to financially assist them, this is the platform for donations. Any donations made here will go directly to Erin and Harper to allow them to move forward with relocation (and all that entaails), reliable transportation, medical costs for Harper's health issues and to keep her active in activities that will allow her to heal from this significant loss.
Any amount will be greatly appreciated. It will give them the freedom to make the very best choices for their healing without financial pressure during this time of loss and change. Thank you for reading our story and may God bless you for caring.
