Erin and Chris Moody of Rogue Farms (Tragic loss)

Dear Ramona Community, Local Farmers, Farm Stand Customers, Family and Friends,

I’m Jennifer Cole from Sweet Heart Farms, reaching out to rally support for my best friend and fellow local farmer, Erin Moody of Rogue Farms. This past week, Erin and her family suffered an unimaginable loss with the sudden passing of Erin’s husband of 10 years, Chris Moody.

Chris was a kind-hearted, hard-working man—a devoted father, loving husband, and vital part of our community. For years, he and Erin worked tirelessly, day and night, to provide fresh, local produce and homemade goods to our community, often donating to families in need.

Chris’s unexpected passing has left Erin and her children in a heartbreaking and financially challenging situation. In addition to their small farm, Chris was the primary breadwinner, working as a tile layer. His loss has created a significant gap in their financial stability, with immediate needs like funeral expenses, mortgage payments, bills, and daily essentials.

We’re calling on our community—local farmers, customers, friends, and online supporters—to come together and help Erin and her family through this difficult time. Your donations will provide critical support, covering funeral costs and helping with living expenses in the coming months, giving Erin and her children some breathing room as they navigate this profound loss.
