Erik and Bryanna's virtual baby shower

Greetings family and friends!
The countdown is on. Our daughter is expected June third. We were looking forward to celebrating with you at some baby showers before the birth, but the pandemic forced us to postpone the festivities. Bryanna works in long term care. Our family includes nurses and other front line and essential service workers. I am stuck home on lock down myself and I’m not sure what’s more difficult, working through the risk or staying on the sidelines watching the news and clamping down on the anxiety. We are thinking of you every day and I hope you’ll reach out if there is anything either of us can do to help. Thank you very much for all you do.
This campaign is for any one who was looking to help us out with anything we would need immediately when the baby comes. We are hoping for some borrow and return on clothes and furniture. We also got an incredible deal on a stroller and car seat. We are in a one bed, 500 sqft apartment, so we’re trying to keep a low footprint. We were asking for gift cards, but now seems not ideal for sending items in the mail. So, we set this up so people could gift money if they choose. We will be holding showers as soon as it is safe to do so after the baby is born. So, it will be possible to gift toys, clothes, and other items later if you prefer.
Money will be tight as Bryanna is going on maternity leave, and the companies I was planning to work for in the summer are going to be hit hard by the lock downs. We can afford the essentials like diapers and clothes, but here are some things we would do with the money we raise. An apartment size washing machine $500. We usually hit the coin laundry every two weeks. This would come up huge for baby clothes. We’ll dry on racks in the house. Furniture such as changing station$200, diaper disposal $100, and eventually crib $500 that we can’t borrow. We are on the fence about a bassinet. High end baby bottles. We have offer of a loaner breast pump, but we were hoping to get some high end bottles/nipples that reduce nipple confusion. They’re about 20 bucks per set, bottle/nipple/ring and we probably need three or five. Anything that was on our registry essentially.
Pledges of borrow and return or other help are also appreciated. Thanks to Emily, Ella, and Tanya and every one who put time, money and effort into planning our showers. Ryan helped me put in a new kitchen floor. To whit, he did most of the work, and I did most of the clean-up. Cheryl is taking time off to come help us out for the first week with Ray. Emily and Ryan and Kerry's sister Kim offered us borrow items. We love you all and appreciate your support.
We will keep the campaign up-to-date with pictures and videos. So, please subscribe and keep watching.
