Eric and Jamie's Wedding Donation to CZ and GLP
Donation protected
6 months ago, we decided to get married. We made a decision to recognize in front of our loved ones something that we already knew--we are in love and going to spend the rest of our lives together. When it came time for a wedding registry...we didn't. We didn't need or want gifts, we were saving money to travel, we didn't have room in our apartment for the type of things you fill a house with, and we were just going to have to pack it all up for our trip anyway. When we sent invites, we asked folks to donate to our cat's college fund.
A whole hell of a lot has happened since then.
We still don't want, or need, gifts. We still don't have room in our apartment. We don't know when we're going to be able to travel. But it's time again for us to recognize something that we already know--there is a serious problem of racism & hatred infecting our country, we need widespread reform, and we need to take action if we want anything to change.
So we're asking you, our family, friends, and loved ones, to join us. Join us in donating to causes that are fighting with all they have for the change that we so desperately need. Organizations dedicated to fighting for justice, stomping out injustice, and protecting innocent Americans. Organizations working tirelessly for police reform, accountability, and improved community interactions.
The last few months have left all of us feeling antsy--the last few weeks have made us angry--the last few days have been horrifying. On June 13th, we are going to take time to celebrate love in the face of so much hatred, anger, and violence. We have a long road uphill ahead of us, and the only way we will make it through is to love each other. Please, spread love, kindness, and compassion. Please celebrate with us by making a donation--everything we raise will be split between Campaign Zero and the Grassroots Law Project.
We love you.
