Natika's Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
I have been friends with Natika Pearson since we were 13 years old. She is now 38 years old and has been diagnosed with Stage II Invasive breast cancer. She has two wonderful children named Aviyon (15) and JayMhere (13), which I am blessed to be the Godmother of. She also has an awesome fiance named Robert, and my heart goes out to her and her family. She is an amazing mother and loves her children more than anything.

Where to start... She is the strongest woman I know, and in her 38 years she has been through the storm and back. I know she will beat this because she can beat anything! I know like myself Natika has been and inspiration to so many people. Not only does she have 2 children, she also have 4 amazing step children and 3 God Children that she loves with all her heart. 2 of those God Children are mine. When I was going through a rough time she took my youngest in and helped. I am forever grateful and don't know where I would be without her.

They say it takes a village and I believe our village is strong. With our support I know we can ease the financial stress for her and her family.  Natika is currently going through 5 months of weekly chemotherapy. Due to that she has taken medical leave from college, and dropped her hours to part time at work. Unfortunately insurance isn't covering all of the medical bills for treatment. Right not it looks like in September she will undergo a double mastectomy surgery, and will be off work for 2 months. Depending on how things go she will then know the rest of her treatment that could include radiation and more chemotherapy.

If you would like to follow Natika and her family through this journey any donations would be greatly appreciated. Her and Robert will be able to continue to take care of their family without the financial stress and worries, and focus on fighting this breast cancer. Along with these donations we are asking you to also keep Natika and her family in your prayers. Her love for God is strong and he does answer prayers. Something she said that touched me is "God only gives you what you can handle. If he gave me cancer then I have saved someone else from getting it, so I am happy to know I saved someone else's life". I love this woman so much.
