Embrace Badjao

Hello! On the 30th of March my sister (Niamh) and I (Jane) will be running the Dublin half marathon, in order to fundraise for a charity called Embrace Badjao. This charity does important work with the Badjao tribe in Davao, the Philippines. The Badjaos are an indigenous, sea-faring tribe (Badjao translates to sea gypsy). They are also subject to serious marginalisation and discrimination in the Philippines. As such, they receive very little access to resources like education, healthcare, and sanitation from the Filipino government. Embrace Badjao works with the community to support them towards better living standards. I have travelled to work in the Embrace Badjao school twice and will be working there again this summer. These funds will be used to directly support the community. We appreciate any donations at all! Thank you in advance.
