As with many worthwhile organizations who do not receive funding, purchasing equipment has always been challenging. With our total operating budget coming in under $75,000 a year, it's easy to understand why this challenge exists! Our community continues to embrace and support us to meet our needs and provide the latest technology and techniques available. Our current challenge is mission-critical, as we desperately need the resources to upgrade our ambulances. We operate three ambulances which are currently 2000, 2002, and 2003 year models--meaning the newest is almost 15 years old. While we strive to well-maintain our vehicles, this is an aging fleet that needs your help!
Here's where YOU come in...
New ambulances cost on average $160,000, but we are not asking for that!! A fundraising goal of $40,000 would allow us to purchase two "new-to-us" ambulances, that would be significant upgrades to our current fleet. Every dollar given truly does make a difference...and that difference could quite literally be someone's life...even yours!!
