Equals X Finlay Half Marathon

Hey there amazing friends and supporters!!

I'm lacing up my running shoes for a cause that's close to my heart.

Catch me in the Run Barbados Half Marathon! This exciting event is not just about the thrill of the run, but also about making a difference in the lives of others. I've teamed up with the fantastic folks at Equals, a charity that's doing incredible work to promote equality and create positive change in our community for LGBTQ people.

Now, here's the deal: I've set an ambitious goal to raise $3000 US for Equals, and I need YOUR help to cross that finish line! Every step I take is fueled by the generosity of people like you.

Why Donate?

Equals is on a mission to create a world where everyone has equal opportunities, working tirelessly to break down barriers and build a more inclusive society. This includes providing services such as HIV/ STI testing and treatment and psycho-social counselling that are held at their community site, conducting sensitisation trainings to service providers, engaging with stakeholder (including government officials), and creating of safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people to learn and socialise freely as themselves. Therefore, Equals conducts a variety of activities to assist LGBTQ+ people in various ways depending on their needs and every dollar you contribute will support their impactful initiatives.

Examples of what your donation will contribute towards;

$50: HIV / STI testing for 1 person

$100: Light refreshments for 1 support group (such as art therapy)

$150: 1 care package (includes necessary toiletries)

$200: Material and testing items for the STI clinic for 1 month

$500: Utility bills for the community site for 1 month
