Summer Camp for Refugee Children in Greece

Following the July 15th, 2016 coup attempt in Turkey, 150,348 civil servants have been dismissed from their jobs, 217,971 detained and 82,142 of them were imprisoned and many of them were exposed to mistreatment. Over 17,000 women and 668 babies are among the people imprisoned and 189 media outlets have been shut down and 319 journalists have been arrested.
Who Are We?
We are a small group aiming to support refugees seeking asylum in Greece that have managed to flee Turkish prosecution, imprisonment, and mistreatment by risking the lives of themselves and their families across the Evros River.
Main Project Goal
Your donations will be put to use in:
1- Visiting and giving moral support to the families that have been a victim of Turkish authoritarianism that are trying to set a foundation in Greece and organize activities and trips for the middle and high school students that have been struggling to adapt to the severe circumstances.
2- Providing year-round online ZOOM tutoring with paired mentors for middle and high school students that do not have access to ESL and/or mathematics education.
3- Organize a summer camp for the children of refugee families to attend and spend time together where we will have indoor and outdoor activities in addition to ESL games for younger children.
