Epilepsy has made me homeless

Hello, my name is Maria Perez and I started suffering from seizures last year. I suffer from tonic clonic seizures (grand mal seizures) and was diagnosed with epilepsy last year. My life has completely gone upside down. I have two little boys Sebastián who just turned 5 and Jeremiah who is 2. My seizure activity has gotten worse since last year. In February I was in status epilepticus and almost lost my life,  on July 9th of this year I was coming home from work with my two boys and had a seizure in front of my home and continued to have seizures in the hospital. I had a total of 8 seizures back to back that day. I fell down my concrete steps and hurt myself pretty bad. I was hospitalized again and when I was released I was not cleared to work. I have worked my whole life and have taken care of my boys financially. I am now homeless because of this with my boys. I am currently staying at a hotel, I had to take everything I could from my home, I have lost all my belongings and most of my boys belongings that I worked very hard for. My funds are running really low and I have called everywhere to try to get help, I have also called all the shelters, the low income housing places in my area and there is waiting list for them all. I am literally in the street for no fault of my own. I have lost everything due to this, I was not prepared not to work. I lost my home because I was not able to pay my rent because I have no income. I have applied for SSI and of course I have to wait. Everything is a waiting process and I do not have the time to wait. I do not have help from anyone as I was in foster care. I have no one, just me and my boys. I always worked for us and took care of it all. This disease has taken over my life and it has affected everything. I am just asking for help for me and my boys to get by until I at least get some type of help for us. I never expected to create a go fund me account but I do not know what else to do and the county assistance office in my area is taking forever with my case as well.
