Belize Medical Mission Trip
Beschermde donatie
Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, I will be completing my Master’s Degree in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner this June. Over the past few years, it has been a struggle to maintain friendships, family routines, quality time, extracurriculars, full-time employment, laundry and many simple day-to-day tasks that a mom of a young family faces. But by the grace of God, we have made it work.
My last day of classes will be June 30th, and I cannot tell you how I anticipate this day. I often find myself daydreaming of all the things I will finally have the freedom to do without assignments, exams and clinical rotations looming over me.
I found myself trying to think of ways to “give back” and glorify God after completing classes....but how? And, if we’re being honest, I also found myself with a strong desire to go somewhere warm and tropical with a beach. This is why God is so amazing, because on a Sunday morning, several weeks ago, one of the pastors at my church approached me and said “Hey Katelyn, would you be interested in serving on a team from North Mar to go to Belize on a medical mission trip July 19th-26th?!
I think it’s so cool how God took my desire to “help” and my desire for “a tropical place” – provided both in 1, on dates following the completion of my program. I feel it is as though He said; “Here are both. Now Go”.
I have created this GoFund Me to help offset some of the cost of the trip as there have been people who have asked how they can help. The total cost of the trip is $2,450.00 which includes international and domestic airfare, food, lodging, transfers, and local travel in Belize. This does not include any personal expenses, so know that any donation made will go directly to expenses associated with making this trip happen (and not souvenirs for my children, haha)
Our team from North Mar with be partnering with Caring Partners International to serve in Belize and provide evangelism through medicine. The team will consist of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, chiropractors and optometrists who will be providing assessments, medical care, glasses and prescription medication to members of all age groups in the community. We anticipate serving over 700 people in 3.5 days, allowing us the opportunity to show love, provide medical care and share the gospel of Jesus. The primary mission of Caring Partners International is to enable and equip local churches to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the lost and suffering around the world.
My expectation is not to fund this trip by this posting, but rather to use this platform to allow those who have a desire to help, a way to help. Another way to help support this mission is simply through your prayers. Not everyone will feel led, or have the means to donate. I ask for prayer and support that God would prepare me and my family for this trip, and bless the efforts of this mission trip as we minister and provide medical care to the people of Belize.
Whether you feel led to help through financial support, prayer, or both; all of your support is greatly appreciated.

With a grateful heart, I sincerely thank you
