Enzo, our real life Super Hero

Hey everyone. On Monday 28th February 2022 our gorgeous nephew Enzo, who is just two years old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This is every families worst nightmare so we’ve set up this page to hopefully raise some funds to help Enzo, my brother, sister in law and their 11 week old baby.

Someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 16 minutes. Blood cancer is the fifth most common type of cancer in the UK.

There will be some fundraisers that I’ll be adding to this page once they are set in stone but for now, we want to get the word out there about Enzo. Here is his story so far:

Enzo is two years old and is currently at The Royal Marsden hospital receiving care. He has a treatment plan in place but there are many possible side effects of the medication and chemotherapy. My brother and his family all have a long road ahead of them with 6 months of intensive chemotherapy for Enzo followed by three years of maintenance chemo. It is hard to imagine that Enzo will still be receiving treatment when he starts school!

We want to hopefully make their life that little bit easier by raising as much money as we can for them. They are currently having to juggle staying for three nights at a time at The Royal Marsden hospital to care for Enzo 24/7 before swapping so that they can spend some time with their 11 week old baby at home. My sister in law is having to spend half the week away from her newborn so that she can be with Enzo, due to siblings not being allowed on the ward. They have shown such resilience and strength and we could not be any more proud of how they are dealing with everything.

Enzo is very weak and has had a tremendous amount to deal with already but we know that his natural determination and stubbornness will bring him through the toughest of times. He has been so brave and endured far more than any two year old ever should. He truly is our superhero.
