♂️ Running the Eastbourne 10K for Hope, Home, and Community ♀️
From the young people of Enthum House
Hi! We are the young people living at Enthum House, part of the Enthum Foundation—a place where young refugees and asylum seekers who’ve had to leave their countries alone can finally feel safe and supported.
This year, on Sunday 22nd June, we’re running the Eastbourne 10K—and we’re doing it with pride, purpose, and a lot of training!
Even more special: our run falls during Refugee Week 2025, a time that celebrates compassion, resilience, and the power of welcoming communities.
Why are we running?
We want to raise funds to support Enthum Foundation’s work helping young people like us rebuild our lives here in the UK—with education, emotional support, and opportunities to grow and thrive.
But that’s not all.
We also want to give back to others in our community who are struggling, which is why we’ll be splitting the funds with a local charity we care deeply about—Warming up the Homeless. They help people sleeping rough in Eastbourne, providing hot meals, clothing, and human connection.
Our goal is to raise £600 and we’ll divide the donations between:
The Enthum Foundation, to help fund youth support, education, and wellbeing programs
Warming up the Homeless, to provide direct help to people experiencing homelessness in our town
For many of us, this is our first ever 10K. It’s a big challenge—but we’re running to show that no matter where you’re from, you can make a difference.
Please support us—by donating, sharing our story, or just cheering us on. Every step we take is for something bigger than ourselves.
Thank you so much,
The Young People of Enthum House
