Dear Friends and Supporters,

We never imagined we’d be writing something like this, but here we are.

Our son, Kyle Register, is a devoted father to two children. His daughter, Paisley, lives with her mother in Indiana. Despite the distance and being unmarried, Kyle has consistently paid child support and made every effort to maintain a relationship with Paisley—often at great personal expense, as her mother has never contributed to travel or visitation costs.

On Friday, October 3, 2025, Kyle drove to Indiana to pick up Paisley for a scheduled visit. One week later, on October 10, a sheriff’s deputy unexpectedly arrived at our home to check on her. We were confused and concerned. Soon after, we learned Paisley will be emergency placed in Kyle's custody.

We won’t go into further details out of respect for Paisley’s privacy, but we are asking for help.

Kyle is now seeking emergency custody—and ultimately full custody—to ensure Paisley’s safety and stability. He works full-time (and overtime) as a certified correctional officer and had already been saving to pursue a formal parenting agreement. Now, with this sudden and serious development, he urgently needs legal representation to navigate the interstate custody process, which is both complex and costly.

Paisley is safe with us and will not be returned to her mother. However, Kyle needs court orders to make that permanent. Meanwhile, child support continues to be deducted from his paycheck, and he’s now responsible for daily care expenses, including daycare and other essentials.
