My grandson Hawthorn Obsidian age 4 has been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. No words can describe my absolute anguish!!

My daughter Lotus is the best momma raising this beautiful family in their backwoods country home.

She delivered her 3 children at home and has home schooled them all including Alder 12 and Azalea 10.

About 6 months ago her relationship ended with the children's father. Lotus has rented a run down, mold contaminated 2 bedroom rat-infested house, with my sister Elizabeth.

My daughter is unemployed and has been caring for Hawthorn whose health had been declining drastically!

Only a few weeks ago she took him to the emergency room. They diagnosed him with Stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer and instructed her to take him immediately to Oakland Children's

Hospital 4 hours away to undergo a full radiated blood transfusion. She has been by his side night and day.

Lotus has learned complex medical procedures he will need for his cancer treatment.

Hawthorn will need to be taken to Oakland regularly to continue his battle to beat this cancer.

Hawthorn will be released soon from his first stage of chemotherapy treatments. My daughter is in dire need of finding a clean home that will ensure my grandson's safety and well-being.

There's nothing I believe in more than God's love! I know with all my heart that the power of love is stronger than anything!

I believe in miracles because I am a miracle. We are all miracles!

I believe more than anything in the power and strength of a divine loving force that has no limits and no bounds!

Hawthorn will heal and will have a long fulfilled life ahead I do not doubt!

Hawthorn came into the world with a heart of gold! Even as a toddler, he surprises everyone he meets with his attentive thoughtfulness and compassion so beyond his years! He loves to honor every guest entering his house with a celebratory "Good news!" and, always looking to help, he will bring a warm cup of hot chocolate to everyone he thinks could use one. He is a sparkling example to us all and will change the world for the better if given the chance. I have never known someone so little could possess such deep soul-rich sight!

Although the darkness seems so overwhelming at times, even the smallest spark can ignite a whole world afire to inspire and awaken humanity's heart.
