Enrique Donnell's Eagle Scout Service Project
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Enrique Donnell. I am completing my journey as a youth in the Boy Scouts of America and am preparing my Eagle Scout Service Project. An Eagle Project is a value-added project for the community proposed by a scout, which offers an opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills honed over the years. I’ve chosen to work with Camp C.A.M.P. which strengthens and inspires individuals with disabilities – and those who care for them. My project will restore and expand the archery range at Camp C.A.M.P.. I will build stands to hold the hay bales for targets and will weld stationary bow stands to accommodate campers in wheelchairs and those who don’t have 100% use of their limbs. Currently, each camper must be assisted by a staff member to shoot. These new stations will present campers with an environment to engage in activities independently, increase their self-confidence, and achieve personal goals. It gives them opportunities that I’ve enjoyed in scouting, and this is my way of giving them similar fun memories I’ve had of shooting archery.
We have a tight deadline for this project, with a kickoff date of April 20, 2023! My goal is to raise $2,000 which covers all materials and labor for both the target stands and the custom bow stands. Any amount you can give is very helpful and appreciated. All additional proceeds will benefit Camp C.A.M.P..
Thank you from me, the Boy Scouts of America, and all the happy campers!
