Hi my name is Mike and I'm raising funds to send a fire appliance to Jamaica. As a member of the Fire Service in Wales I know the value of fire safety. I have visited Jamaica and the community where this appliance will be used and have seen first hand how desperately they need this equipment.

I have already secured one fire engine and breathing apparatus that is critical in saving lives. I hope to get one more appliance so we can send two fire engines and a container of equipment to support the fire fighters in Jamaica.

The funds will be used to ship the equipment from North Wales where I am based to Kingston Jamaica and then on to Clarendon. We will also be sending a team to help train the firefighters in Jamaica so that they become as skilful as we are in putting out fires and saving lives.
