Hi, I'm Roger Habgood, and I could never have imagined that in my late 60s, I'd be embarking on the challenge of a lifetime.

On September 25th, I'll be starting my trek from Cape Wrath to Fort William, walking 230-miles through Scotland's rugged mountains, remote moorlands, and breathtaking coastline — all to raise funds for The Besom Network and meet with God through His creation.

It’s a long and tough walk, that will talk me about three weeks to complete but I want to show that no matter your age or stage of life, we can all play a part in making a difference.

Besom is about enabling people to give what they have to those who really need it. As a National Christian Ministry, The Besom Network is passionate about enabling Christians to put God's love into action. This means we are all about bringing people together to help those in need. We connect churches, community groups, and individuals who have time, skills, furniture/things, or funds to offer, with people who need support. Acting as a bridge from the giver to the receiver.

There are 22 Besoms operating across in the country, each Besom responds to referrals from social workers and local agencies – whether that means decorating a home, clearing a garden or providing much-needed furniture.
