Endless Pawsabilities for Young Adults

As a parent of an adult with autism, a former special education teacher, and certified behavior specialist, I see firsthand the need for supporting local high school students with workplace transition skills and young adults in our community who have few options for community habilitation, volunteer, and employment opportunities. Many young adults with developmental disabilities in our small, rural community face barriers to finding meaningful work and building independence, and I am passionate about changing that.

That's why I am launching Endless Pawsabilities, a pilot program to support students ages 16-21 in our local school districts and young adults in our community who will benefit from opportunities to mix, bake, package, and sell high-quality dog biscuits and create pet-related items (dog toys, handcrafted items, bandannas, etc). Through Endless Pawsabilities, participants will mix, bake, package, and sell high-quality dog biscuits, create pet toys, and other pet-related items, while learning valuable vocational, social, and employment skills along the way. This pilot venture will begin in a church kitchen and community space, with the goal of growing into a non-profit entity that supports a pet store retail-oriented program in the future.

Your generously donated funds will go directly toward purchasing baking supplies, ingredients, packaging materials, and essential kitchen items such as cookie sheets, mixers, and cookie cutters. We will also use funds to purchase materials for creating pet-related items (pull toys and handcrafted items) and to develop and distribute curriculum materials that will support participants with learning hands-on skills in a supportive environment. Your generous support will help launch Endless Pawsabilities and create new opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities in our small, underserved community. Please consider donating and sharing our story to help us make a difference together! With your help, the Pawsabilities are Endless!!
