Help Me Protect My Children and End the Abuse for Good

My name is Tianna, and I’m asking for help to hire a lawyer so I can protect my children and finally put an end to years of abuse.

My ex-husband has been abusive since we were 18. Over the years, he has spit on me, slapped me, punched me, kicked me in the stomach while pregnant, strangled me, pulled a knife on me, and even lied to the police. He has used me as collateral, threatened my life, my infant's life, and terrorized me in front of our kids. He has no problem calling me and the kids horrible names, yes, the kids too! He’s already been to prison for abusing me, but the harassment hasn’t stopped, even after our divorce.

He continues to show up uninvited and aggressive, pounding on doors, causing property damage, and even coming to my family’s house during Thanksgiving, threatening to kill my cousin's wife and children. He’s been banned from the Independence school district because of his behavior and threatening a school counselor for contacting him and being concerned about our oldest daughter's mental health (she had been cutting herself). My children are constantly living in fear of what he’ll do next. They can’t even have any normalcy or make friends because they are constantly getting removed from their sports teams due to their dad's unhinged behavior.

I’ve filed restraining orders. My family has restraining orders. Even a coach from a past team has a restraining order against him. I’ve tried to handle it on my own. But I can’t do this without legal help anymore. I need a lawyer to fight for full custody — to make sure my children are finally safe and can grow up in peace. He purposely avoids paying his child support because he genuinely wants ME to suffer and he doesn’t care if any of this affects the children.
