Hello friends and family, I am writing on behalf of my little sister (Charyde FitzGerald) who is in need of medical financial support. At just 19 years old she fell into a medical journey that is widely misunderstood and under acknowledged. Misdiagnosed for over a year she was finally diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis in the beginning of 2024. From recurring cysts and multiple surgeries to specialists and discussions of a hysterectomy, my baby sister has declined from her typical smiling, adventurous and goofy self to someone who is constantly in pain, someone who is unable to peruse her passions or simply to live life as a normal 21 year old. Her condition over the last three years has only gotten worse, increasing to stage 4 endometriosis. As a last resort she had expanded her search to Phoenix, Arizona where she met a doctor that finally gave her hope of getting her life back. She is currently scheduled for an in depth surgery July 24th. We are praying that this surgery will provide monumental pain relief for the next 3-5 years postponing having to make a decision that no 21 year old woman should have to make of having a hysterectomy. This surgery though exciting in the impact it could have is an extreme financial burden with travel expenses, pre op visits and treatment all in Arizona. I am requesting on her behalf from all our family and friends, who love and care for this woman as much as I do, any support you can offer. No amount is too small and any amount given will truly make a huge impact. Most importantly, we hope you can whisper a prayer for success at what we hope is the end of a strenuous journey.
