Funeral and Medical Expenses for Jose Escobedo

Our Centro Romero community is heartbroken by the news of a severe accident involving our cherished member and dedicated Adult Education teacher, Jose Escobedo. On Saturday evening, May 10th, 2025, Jose was critically injured in a scooter accident on his way home from work. Despite wearing a helmet, he sustained a serious head injury and, after being in critical condition, he passed away on May 13, 2025.

For 15 years, Jose was a part of our Adult Education program at Centro Romero. He was not just an educator; he was a pillar of our community who touched the lives of countless students. A passionate Math instructor for GED courses in both English and Spanish, he helped countless individuals pass their GEDs, opening doors to new opportunities. When Jose wasn't at Centro Romero, he could be found at his second job or spending time with his family members.

On behalf of Jose and his loved ones, Centro Romero has created this GoFundMe to provide direct financial support to Jose's family during this challenging time. All donations will go directly to his family to help with expenses and other unforeseen costs.
