Well this year can do one, the year of my 50th birthday. We got off to a great start in January with our Caribbean cruise, and then it’s been a roller coaster…..
February, Shaun had day surgery for long term side effects from his cancer treatment 8 years ago.
March, Molly had surgery for her appendix removing.
April, I had surgery for cancer. Most of you know Shaun had cancer when he hit 50, and of course I had to do the same, Shaun says he can’t have anything. Luckily, like Shaun’s mine is also curable.
We are now getting ready for the next stage of my treatment which includes chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Those of you who know me will know I can always find a positive. The positive in this situation is that I have decided to donate my hair before commencing chemo, and Milly is also having the required amount cut off to donate to the little princess trust.
Milly and I are also hoping we can raise money for LimbBo Foundation which is a charity our niece Katie, and her husband Adam are co-founders for, which they set up when they had their son Tommy who was born with a limb difference.
LimbBo is a charity that helps children with limb differences and provides support to their families, which means 2 children’s charities will hopefully gain a little something
I would like to thank everyone who has already sent cards and gifts. Everyone’s contributions are greatly appreciated from the Mottys, #always find a positive
