I am Alaa Abdel Fattah Aziz. My aunt Tahani Yousef Aziz has been living under bombardment, killing, and hunger for almost a year and a half. During this period, she has experienced a lot of displacement and hunger, fleeing death and seeking a glimmer of hope for survival, moving between the north and south of Gaza more than once. After the destruction of her large home, which held beautiful memories and where my whole family felt safe and warm, Tahani now lives inside a nylon tent that provides no protection from the cold or the scorching sun. On top of all that, she is suffering greatly from obtaining water and food, which have become scarce, and when available, they are very expensive.
