Empty Shabbat Table - DC

Donation protected
Our hearts are breaking. We create an Empty Shabbat Table on the National Mall in DC every Friday with an empty seat for each hostage - regardless of nationality or religion - held in Gaza, and are committed to this weekly effort until they are all released.

We are grateful to so many of you who responded generously to our earlier appeal for funds. Thank you. Your donations help cover operation costs (i.e., truck rental, drivers, and equipment) of approximately $500 per week. Our goal of $16000 in donations guarantees that the exhibit will continue weekly at least through the beginning of September. Our deep wishes are for the hostages to be home sooner than that.

Any remaining funds will be redirected to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum.

The Empty Shabbat Table speaks for itself. There are no speakers, no affiliations, no program. Family members of hostages report a deep sense of support when they see photos of the Empty Shabbat Table on the National Mall. Help us maintain this arc of hope with the Hostage Families and draw the attention of both domestic and international tourists on the Mall to this human tragedy.

Thank you for your donation and for being part of this humanitarian effort.
