On Thursday November 15, 2018, the Cook County community in partnership with the Grand Marais Art Colony will host the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser at St. John’s Catholic Church in Grand Marais to raise funds for the Cook County Food Shelf and other community hunger programs. This year, the Empty Bowls organizing committee invites Cook County businesses to sponsor the event at one of three levels:
Event Sponsor: $1000
Event sponsors will be acknowledged in all Empty Bowls marketing, on a prominently displayed banner and each dining table at the event. They will also be listed in all thank you marketing following the event.
Table Sponsor: $500
Table sponsors will have their business name prominently displayed over one of the dining tables at the event and will be listed in all thank you marketing following the event. (A representative from your business does *not* need to be present at the table during the event.)
Business Sponsor: $250
Business Sponsors will be acknowledged on a placard on each dining table at the event and will be listed in all thank you marketing following the event.
Contributions of any other amount will be listed in all thank you marketing following the event.
If you prefer, you may donate by mailing a check to KIDS Plus (the fiscal agent of Empty Bowls) at P.O. Box 63, Grand Marais, MN 55604.
Since 2006, Empty Bowls has been the single largest fundraiser each year for Cook County hunger programs and with 12% of Cook County residents struggling with food insecurity today, Cook County’s hunger needs are greater than ever.
Sponsorship provides your business with a simple and extremely effective way to support Empty Bowls’ efforts in our community.
50 percent of your donation goes directly to the Cook County Food Shelf, while the remaining 50 percent is divided among other organizations that nourish our community’s needy, including Birch Grove Foundation WE Connect, Cook County Youth Agency, Cook County Public Health and Human Services, local schools, Snack Packs, Cook County Council on Aging, SNAP, and Cooperation Station Day Care.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Pat Campanaro, Ada Igoe, Beth Kennedy, and Maren Webb
