Restaurant for Growth, Training, and Second Chances
The Mission , My name is Lafrance, and this mission is deeply personal. As a youth navigating through the justice systems without consistent guidance, I had to learn to navigate life early on my own. I know the weight of being overlooked—but I also know the power of a real second chance.
On my journey, I discovered cooking. What started as an interest became a lifeline. It taught me patience and intentionality. I realized culinary skills are essential life skills—teaching responsibility, discipline, and independence. For many young people, learning to prepare a meal is about meeting basic needs, building confidence, and developing a sense of purpose.
The Vision, I am establishing a restaurant that operates as both a business and a structured training environment for at-risk youth. This space provides hands-on experience and mentorship, helping young people realize their past does not define their future. This is not simply about food; it is about purpose.
Program Focus Participants will develop skills in:
• Kitchen Operations: Culinary techniques and kitchen safety.
• Business Basics: Customer service, communication, and financial literacy.
• Leadership: Teamwork, accountability, discipline, and work ethic.
Why Your Support Matters Funding will directly support securing a location, purchasing equipment, and building our mentorship program. Your support helps:
• Create opportunities for youth who lack guidance and structure.
• Provide a safe, supportive environment for professional growth.
• Equip young people with transferable skills to break cycles of instability.
My Commitment This is my purpose. I am committed to building the structure I once needed. This initiative is rooted in lived experience and a genuine desire to create lasting change.
How You Can Help
• Donate: Every contribution fuels our development.
• Advocate: Share this mission with your network.

Together, we can turn adversity into opportunity.
Sincerely,
Lafrance
