Hi, I'm Max Chenier. I'm 18 years old and nonbinary. I'm getting ready to start cosmetology school next year, which I'm really excited about! My passion lies in helping others feel confident in their own skin, and I believe beauty can be a powerful form of self-expression.
On top of that, I’ve always felt called to make a difference in the world, which brings me to something important I’m planning: a trip to Kenya with the Wandering Women nonprofit.
I’ve always been passionate about helping those in need, and this trip to Kenya is something that’s close to my heart. My goal is to support women and girls who face daily struggles that we often take for granted, like access to period products, panties, and other vital supplies. In many parts of the world, girls miss school every month simply because they don’t have access to the basic necessities for menstruation. By providing these products, I want to help ensure that they don’t have to choose between their health and education.
This trip is more than just giving material things. It’s about helping young girls stay in school, pursue their dreams, and build futures for themselves. Education is so powerful, and I want to be a part of that for these girls.
I’ve faced my own struggles with school and mental health, and I know how important it is to have support when you’re facing challenges. This experience will not only help me give back but also grow as a person, and I believe it will be a life-changing experience for me as well.
I’m currently raising funds for this trip because it’s something I deeply believe in. It’s a chance to make a meaningful difference while learning and growing in ways that will shape my future.
