Empowering Unity: Texas Latino Pride Fundraiser

Growing up in Texas as a member of the Latinx and LGBTQIA communities, I often felt like I was stuck between two worlds. I struggled to find acceptance and support in either community, feeling like I had to constantly choose between my identity as a queer person and my cultural heritage.

That's why I was overjoyed when I received support to create Texas Latino Pride – an organization dedicated to fostering unity and solidarity between our communities. When we created the first annual music festival in 2014, I finally felt like we had made a place where our community truly belonged. The music, food, and celebration of our shared experiences and identities was truly unforgettable.

Since then, Texas Latino Pride has continued to grow and expand, creating more events and partnerships to support our communities. We’ve provided access to STI care and prevention through the help of community partner agencies, supported small businesses and local talent, and brought our communities together in celebration of our cultura.

But all of this work takes resources and support. That's why I'm asking you to join me in fundraising for Texas Latino Pride. Every dollar donated will go towards supporting it’s mission of empowering and uplifting our communities, promoting inclusivity and equality for all.
