I am Samwel Emily, a Mountain Guide based in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, deeply committed to improving the situation of street children in our area.
In the Kilimanjaro region, there exists a significant population of street children and families struggling to afford education for their children. Several factors contribute to this ongoing challenge, primarily stemming from economic hardships within certain communities, resulting in their inability to provide adequate education and care for their young children.
Education is a fundamental right for every child. Although primary and secondary school education free in Tanzania's government schools, children from poor families often lack essential supplies like uniforms, bags, shoes, and books, which hinders their attendance and education.
These young children hold aspirations and dreams, yearning to break free from the cycle of poverty that surrounds them. By providing the necessary school supplies, we aim to give them the opportunity to access education, break the cycle of poverty, and nurture hope for a brighter future.
In the first phase, we successfully provided school uniforms, notebooks and school stationery for 50 students. Now, in the second phase, we aim to support 200 students from two different schools with uniforms and shoes.
Your support can profoundly impact these vulnerable children’s lives, make a significant difference and pave the way for their brighter future.
I sincerely appreciate your consideration in joining me on this crucial mission.
I have partnered with a friend whom I helped to summit mountain Kilimanjaro. She has kindly agreed to be the beneficiary for this fundraiser and receive your generous donations on my behalf.
Thank you for your support.
