Empowering females in Indonesia

Hi I am Louise a 56 year old at the end of my corporate career and now am moving to charity work. My career started at a very early age, as I came from a poor background and needed to start earning quickly. At 16 I was studying while having a full time role. I rapidly moved up the ladder through hardwork and sheer determination. It wasn’t without its difficulties 35 years ago females didn’t hold leadership roles or seats on boards.

It was difficult to get my voice heard but I succeeded and 35 years on after delivery some incredible things in large corporates, I have been giving back over the last few years by mentoring females both within corporates, as well as start up founders.

Now is the time for me to consolidate my 35 years working career in order to empower females around the world, starting with Indonesia in November and December where I am going to undertake a project at a girls school. This will cover behavioural and leadership skills. We will also run a competitor to find a innovative business idea which we will offer a kick starter funding.

I am looking for donations to support the first project to cover the costs of the innovation idea.

If the first project is successful, I will look at creating my own charity and developing this more globally within developing countries, where the cultural is not as advanced around empowering females.
