Hijos del Viento is a community-driven program based in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, serving children from impoverished and drug-impacted communities. Through mentorship and hands-on experiences in windsurfing and other water sports, we create a safe and inspiring environment where kids can build confidence, resilience, and a sense of possibility. Our mission is to help them recognize their ability to rise above their circumstances and pursue their dreams. As we grow, we are working to become legally registered as a nonprofit in the Dominican Republic so we can operate transparently and expand our reach. To make this happen, we are raising $2,000 to cover the costs of legal registration and secure storage for the gear that makes our programs possible. This support will allow us to continue showing these young people that their future can be bigger than the challenges they face.
