We are Elkdonis Arts Collective, a performance and visual arts group. We work to restore the necessity of art in life for all.

This collective seeks to operate as a medium for society to be able to access a diverse catalogue of educative material and works of art from various cultures and historical periods, as well as hosting workshops from innovators in each respective industry.

At a time when screens dominate our lives and genuine human connection feels increasingly rare, Elkdonis Arts Collective is building something the world needs more of — physical spaces where culture, creativity, and community come alive.

We are an arts and education nonprofit rooted in a simple but powerful belief: culture heals, art unites, and education liberates. Founded by a collective of seasoned artists and educators with diverse backgrounds spanning continents, disciplines, and lived experiences, Elkdonis has spent over eight years cultivating community — through book reading circles, workshops, and the kind of conversations that change how people see the world.

Now, we are ready to build the permanent home this movement deserves — not one, but two cultural hubs: one in Toronto and one in Los Angeles.

Elkdonis Arts Collective exists for one reason alone — to serve. We are not driven by profit, prestige, or personal gain. Every decision we make, every space we build, every grant we give is in service of the communities that need us most.

This is a nonprofit in the truest sense of the word. Our members — artists and educators who could be building individual careers and platforms — have chosen instead to pour their talents, time, and expertise into a collective mission. The mission is not about us. It is about the student who finds their voice in one of our workshops. The artist who finally has a wall to hang their work on. The elder who walks into our bookstore and sees their culture reflected back at them. The child who attends their first live performance in our auditorium and feels something click.

Everything Elkdonis builds belongs to the community. That is the foundation on which we stand.

What We’re Building

Each Elkdonis location will house:

∙ A Bookstore — curated for curious minds, free thinkers, and lifelong learners

∙ An Auditorium — a stage for performers, speakers, storytellers, and visionaries

∙ Event & Exhibition Spaces — where artists display their work and educators lead workshops on culture, history, wellness, identity, and more

As part of our mission, Elkdonis will function as an active grant provider — offering direct funding to emerging artists, educators, and innovators who demonstrate vision, cultural impact, and community commitment. We believe that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Our grants exist to close that gap.

Grant recipients will receive not only financial support, but access to our physical spaces, our network of seasoned mentors, and the platform to present their work to real audiences. We are not just writing checks — we are opening doors and standing behind the people who walk through them.
