Women and girls in Afghanistan are being deprived of their basic rights in terms of education, work, and even their freedom since the Taliban returned in 2021. From the group interviews, these are not just problems but personal challenges faced by people in the country. One of the girls in the interview revealed that girls, even her cousins, are no longer able to attend school, and the lack of education is affecting their future and opportunities in life. Furthermore, the restrictions placed on the work of women have caused families to suffer, as they are no longer able to buy basic needs like food, hygiene products, and healthcare services. From the interview with the Afghan activist and journalist, the role of education in the lives of the people in Afghanistan was revealed as a source of hope and a better future for the girls and women in the country. Furthermore, the deportation of people from Afghanistan and Pakistan due to the conflict between the two countries has caused families to return home empty-handed. The purpose of our project is to raise awareness and support Afghan women and girls by educating our community and raising funds to help provide access to education and essential resources.
