Empower Youth Through Music: Support Boksawin Youths Journey

Hello friends,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping an inspiring group of musicians from Boksawin Village, in the Kabwum District of Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Boksawin Youth is a talented group of teachers, youth leaders, and community members who share a passion for music and cultural expression.

Their unique sound blends melodic tunes in Yau language and Tok Pisin with techno-inspired piano riffs, fast-paced drums, and rich bass rhythms. They’ve been performing across Kabwum during the annual youth festival, bringing unity and cultural pride to the region.

However, their journey is challenged by outdated equipment and lack of recording gear. They currently have no proper mixer or recording tools, making it difficult to capture and share their music beyond local events. The community in Boksawin is doing its part, raising funds through grassroots efforts, but as a largely subsistence-based economy, resources are limited.

Your donation here will help fund Boksawin Yut purchase a new mixer and basic recording equipment so they can preserve their art, help reach wider audiences, empower their youth community, and inspire others.
